a little about me
Painting has been my medium of choice since my undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  I work intuitively and gesturally, often beginning a composition with a loose figure or still life, using this as a structure for the abstract forms and brushstrokes that emerge as I paint.

A few years ago, I began to work with monotypes.  I first experienced monotyping in a printmaking survey course during study-abroad program in France and Belgium. Then, in March 2005, I attended a workshop at the studio of Wayne Hopkins and Cathy Wysocki, two artists who live and work in Corrales, New Mexico.  I immediately responded to the spontaneity and expressiveness of this type of printmaking -- I was hooked.  I created a series of prints based on the sensations of flight, waking, water, and love, a few of which are now being shown at The New Mexico Tea Company (www.nmteaco.com).  Please feel free to inquire about other prints and paintings that I have available in my studio (and please be sure to tell me if you first saw my work at New Mexico Tea Company).

Originally from Massachusetts, Albuquerque has been my home for over 14 years.
